Field Account Manager – Eastern Canada

Reporting to the Vice President of Sales and Director of Operations in Canada, the Field Account Manager is responsible for installing and training Canadian customers with hematology, chemistry, cytology and other specialty analyzers. This position would be based out of Ontario, however, the ability to travel and cover the East Coast is a requirement.

Responsibilities:

  • Laboratory Installations:
    • Install and train Veterinarians and Technicians on hematology, chemistry, cytology and other specialty diagnostic analyzers
    • Coordinate with the customer, outside sales team and internal order team to plan installations
    • Address any post installation questions or issues
    • Provide retraining as required and follow up maintenance training
  • Support:
    • Provide training and assistance to Veterinary customers post installation
    • Coordinate problem resolution with other departments including operations, customer service, and sales to optimize customer experience
    • Regular account management visits into key accounts within the territory
    • Responsible for account retention strategies and actions
    • Administrative tasks as necessary
    • Update and maintain installation/maintenance resources
    • Train Sales Team members as required
  • Sample Handling:
    • The knowledge and skills to understand blood analysis as it relates to in house hematology and chemistry
    • The ability to perform a manual blood smear and teach/train others on it
    • Ability to draw blood on animals and advise on sample handling best practices
  • Requirements:
    • Veterinary Technician diploma and in-clinic experience is preferred
    • Ability to effectively communicate to the Veterinary audience
    • Highly organized and detail oriented
